Refunds are applied to the original payment method used to checkout. We cannot apply a refund to any other payment method, nor can we provide a personal check.
If your bank card is no longer valid the refund can still be applied, as long as your bank account number that the card was linked to has not changed. If your account number has changed we have to provide you with store credit.
If your PayPal transaction is too old for us to apply a refund (more than 6 months), we must provide you with store credit. We cannot send money between accounts, as that kind of transaction cannot be traced back to your original order details. And we try not to annoy our accountants as much as possible.
